Northwest Ontario's thousands of lakes are the setting for great smallmouth bass fishing. Remote outpost fishing camps, accessible only by float plane offer a wilderness setting and the opportunity to catch and release more smallies than you could ever imagine. If you prefer to stay at full-service accommodations, stay at an American Plan Fly in Fishing Lodge. You're sure to enjoy the three daily homemade meals - including a shorelunch kit.
There are a variety of Canadian bush planes that will take you into the wilderness backcountry. These include the DeHavilland Beaver and Otter, the Beech 18, a Cessna or Norseman. These venerable planes and the ride you take in them are all part of the great Canadian fly-in bass fishing experience. Soar over vast expanses of the Canadian wilderness nad look down at endless freshwater lakes surrounded by a sea of green. The bass on these wild lakes are easy to catch so just bring the tackle that works back home. Favorites of the locals include tube jigs, spinner baits and live minnow. but just about anything works when the bass are hungry. Trophy bass await you on your fly-in trip into the remote regions of Sunset Country.
